How to resize an image online
Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image, enter the pixel width and height, and keep the aspect-ratio lock enabled if you want to avoid stretching. The tool creates a new image at the dimensions you choose.
Why image dimensions matter
Very large images can increase page weight and upload time. Resizing an image close to the dimensions where it will actually be displayed reduces unnecessary pixel data and often makes later compression more effective.
Resize before compressing
If a 4000-pixel photo will only be shown at 1200 pixels, resizing it first can reduce file size substantially before quality compression is applied.
